Vino had a great first visit. He was not anxious and had happy energy after his exam and shots. From the first desk to wrap up it was a great experience.

It’s owned by private equity and it shows. Id been before and liked the vet enough, I thought he was great with my dog who is very anxious at vets. But, my last visit was awful and quite expensive and ill never to back. First, there was an arduous AI phone answering service with lots of bugs, I could have avoided going even going in had I just been able to talk to someone. This wasn’t an emergency but It took multiple calls to try and schedule an appointment to no avail snd there was no working option to speak with the front desk. I decided to just go in and was charged a walk in rate, how convenient for them, they were also dead. They said I had to get blood work done before a dental cleaning, which other clinics don’t require. The cost of the labs was much more expensive than other practices. The dental quote was also a lot higher than other practices (that are not private equity owned). After paying a premium for the blood work I was emailed “everything looks good” but some numbers looked potentially troubling showing on the very low or high end of normal. I emailed back inquiring about what those numbers could mean and I got 0 response. Their cost does not reflect quality of care. This place puts dollars over patients. And for a neighborhood vet certainly didn’t feel very neighborhood like.

Don't act like you really really care about your dog. I went in there cuz my dog has something in his foot and they came up with a list of stuff that wasn't even right. They come across and they give scamming. Like you're using the dogs and the way you feel about your animal and in order to control how much you going to pay. 👎🏾

Before I left Atlanta in the fall of 2023, it was hard to get any type of service from this vet. So I resigned myself to running up the road to Morningside when I returned to Atlanta in the spring. However, I chose to give this vet another chance and learned that WEAWC had changed hands while away. The new ownership is professional and the office staff is finally pleasant (a welcomed change) -- exactly what any veterinary practice should be -- and they followed up the next day after treatment. My dog had an ear infection, a few vax updates, heartworm protection and flea and tick prevention. I was presented a potential bill of $1400. I fell off my chair. I cut out the flea/tick, reduced the vax schedule and several fluff items and it was STILL $992. I limped out of there feeling like I'd been upsold on everything. I wish I had known before I'd arrived (hence this review) and admit I could have just left. I don't know how this business will last in my neighborhood and I wish them no ill will. But, it's either your time or your money and I have to choose money. I wish them luck -- I just can't do it.
