The Village Vets Buckhead

The most important thing to know is that right now, this veterinary office has lost their main vet heather which has played a significant role in their downfall. They have a series of what they call relief vets working here. What this means is they are fill in substitute vets who really don’t care about your long term business or relationship. I was originally referred to this office at the start of the year by a group of friends who all went there to see Heather. I’ve been coming here with both of my cats and Dr. Moore and Heather have both been great. Well two of us from the group of people who go here have had terrible experiences with relief vets now that Heather is gone. Dr. Moore is great, but she is only one person and obviously can’t see everyone. I brought my cat in for an emergency last week and without going into full detail a relief vet with zero people skills felt the best way to handle this was to repeatedly recite what was very clearly some textbook responses to me over and over. “Your cat is in shock and unstable”. At no point did she offer up anything aside from trying to push me out the door to an emergency clinic because she didn’t know what was wrong with my cat. While I was sitting in the lobby starting to break down because my cat was not stable, hypothermic and decomposing I began to look up the place she was trying to send me only to discover some scary online reviews. This sent me over the edge and When I tried to express my fear to the vet, she again blew me off and said, I take my pets there and they have affirm as a payment option so you will be fine. Like what? My cat is actively in shock trying to die and this is what you have to say? Then she gave me my cat back covered in pee and walked away. I was so upset, $1200 out of pocket and had zero answers, and zero assurance on if my cat would live. The money isn’t even the issue, it’s that after all that, I had nothing to show for it. My cat was covered in pee, still really sick, no idea what was wrong, and the vet very clearly wanted nothing to do with helping us. So I ended up going to a different vet who got us back on the right track. It took my boy 7 days to start recovering from all of this, but now that he is showing improvement, I can finally post about this. I’m really sad this has happened to this clinic as I felt I had a vet I could trust and now I don’t think I’ll go back. I even thought Dr. Moore might call us to check on us since my cat was actually her patient normally and nope. Nothing. The word has spread to our tribe of people who go here as well and we all feel the same. It’s time to move on from this place.

I am a new fur mom and was looking for a Vet. I came across The Village Vets due to my Prince having some itching issues. I came twice regarding the issue and each time the staff was very kind and professional. Dr.Krohne answered my questions as being a new pet owner. However the best part was that the front office staff contacted me each time to check on Prince after the visit. That was amazing. I would recommend The Village Vets Buckhead.

Dr Krohne always treats my baby with such care and all the vet techs are super kind to him too. It’s great being able to trust the competence and care of the team at this location. Highly recommend them.
